R. Ranjitha, serving as a temporary nursing staff under the Chief Ministers’ Health Insurance Scheme at the Thanjavur Medical College was relieved from her post by the Dean on Tuesday. According to sources, TMC Dean Poovathi received complaints from cancer ward patients and their attendants at the Super Speciality Wing of the hospital stating that a nurse ill-treated patients. Subsequently, a video clip of the nurse directing patients to come to her seat and administering IV fluids to them was forwarded to the Dean and was also uploaded on social media. After conducting an inquiry, the Dean issued termination order to her on January 6, the sources added.
