A 15-year-old boy drowned in a quarry pit near Madukkarai in Coimbatore district on Monday. The police said that A. Sivasankar, a resident of J. J. Nagar at Malaisamy Kovil Street in Madukkarai, drowned in an unused quarry pit at Uppuparaithottam at Palathurai near Madukkarai.
