The Telangana Teaching Government Doctors’ Association (TTGDA) has urged the Telangana government to expedite the clearance of long-pending financial dues of teaching government doctors across the State, citing delays in arrears and pension-related credits. In a representation addressed to the Chief Secretary, the association pointed out that arrears under the University Grants Commission Pay Revision Commission remain largely unpaid despite a Government Order issued in 2024 approving their release from 2016 in 36 instalments. According to the association, many doctors have submitted bills covering up to 21 instalments, but only three or four instalments have been credited in most cases. It also flagged pending Dearness Allowance arrears linked to four revisions from 2022, stating that the unpaid amount works out to nearly ₹2 lakh per employee. The delay has placed an additional financial burden on teaching doctors, they said. On pension-related matters, the association said that several doctors have received only about 70% of their Contributory Pension Scheme credits. Contributions for 2024 and for multiple years prior to 2020 are yet to be fully deposited.
