Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath said that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was formed for the Telugu people and that its strength lies with its cadre.

Mr. Bharath on Sunday participated in the party’s 44th formation day celebrations in Kurnool. Addressing the party leaders and cadre, Mr. Bharath said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is striving hard for the development of the State and Minister Nara Lokesh is taking the party forward with his innovative ideas.

The Minister said that the Chief Minister is bringing major investments to the State with his vision and that 25 per cent of the investments that are made in the country are coming to Andhra Pradesh. He said the State government had passed a resolution in the Assembly requesting the Central government to declare and notify Amaravati as the sole capital city of A.P.. “No government can change Amaravati as the capital in future,” he said.

Mr. Bharath said that those who worked hard to strengthen the party in Kurnool were given their due recognition and all the posts in the Kurnool Market Yard Committee were given only to those hailing from Kurnool Assembly constituency. He added that Kurnool is being developed by the State government in a planned manner. Meanwhile, senior leaders of the party were felicitated on the occasion.

In Anantapur, Urban MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad felicitated party senior leaders and had lunch with them as part of the formation day celebrations. Mr. Venkateswara Prasad said the State is witnessing welfare as well as development under the leadership of Mr. Naidu and Mr. Lokesh.
