TDB suspends priest following theft charge

The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has suspended priest Madhusudana Sharma of the Mambazhathara Devaswom of the Aryankavu Sub-Group from service. The decision to suspend him was taken at a board meeting held here on Monday. The decision to suspend him from the service was taken following a Devaswom Vigilance inquiry into the complaint that a two-sovereign gold necklace received as an offering was stolen from the temple. The inquiry found him guilty of the charges and recommended disciplinary action.
