The Tamil Nadu Assembly on Wednesday (February 18, 2026) condoled the deaths of former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar; educationist S.S. Rajagopalan; former MLA N. Sundaram, who was elected from the Karaikudi Assembly constituency as a member of the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) and later as a Congress member in 2001; and K. Lingamuthu, a member of the Communist Party of India (CPI), who was elected from the Kudiyatham Assembly constituency in 2011.
