BJP’s national co-in-charge for Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Sudhakar Reddy, criticised the current state of affairs in Tamil Nadu that it was deteriorating due to a rising drug culture and “katta panchayat.”

Speaking to reporters in Manamadurai here on Monday, he said, “Corruption has become rampant in Tamil Nadu over the past five years. The state is being ruined by drug culture, kangaroo courts, and sand smuggling. Since the public is dissatisfied, the DMK-Congress alliance is certain to face defeat. We will win with a clear majority; specifically, the BJP will emerge victorious in the Manamadurai constituency.”

Chief Minister alleged that the BJP was against the people of Tamil Nadu. However, Prime Minister Modi has provided numerous projects for the State, effectively disproving it.

“Purified drinking water connections have been provided to every households through Jal Jeevan Mission scheme. Additionally, women’s empowerment schemes and road expansion projects have been implemented,” he listed.

“Prime Minister consistently prioritises the Tamil language and culture. During Edappadi K. Palaniswami’s tenure as Chief Minister, 11 medical colleges were established, and various irrigation and public welfare schemes were executed. Now, a golden opportunity has arrived for Tamil Nadu to develop further. If we win this election, Tamil Nadu will be transformed into the leading State in the country,” he said.
