Stalin’s answer to questions about alleged corruption in sand mining, Tasmac, and the proliferation of drugs in Tamil Nadu and asked why he was not implementing Central government schemes in Tamil Nadu. He claimed that more than 70% of the promises made in the DMK’s manifesto remained unfulfilled. Speaking in Chennai, Mr. Goyal said only the National Democratic Alliance could provide “good government” in Tamil Nadu. “Under your leadership, Tamil Nadu is deprived of development. Over nine lakh houses were sanctioned for poor families in Tamil Nadu. Mr. Stalin’s government has still not given the names of three lakh beneficiaries who could have benefited with proper homes. They could have electricity, toilets, cooking gas connections, digital services, and a good quality of life. What does he have against three lakh poor families? What has he done to create high-quality infrastructure in Tamil Nadu despite the tax devolution doubling during Prime Minister Modi’s governance?” he asked. Mr. Goyal added that the grants received by Tamil Nadu from the Centre had increased by 4.5 times since the United Progressive Alliance government. “Where did the money go? Instead of always fighting with the Central government, why can’t you collaborate so that the people of Tamil Nadu can benefit. If the people elect the DMK again, they would have to see Udhayanidhi Stalin as the next Chief Minister,” he claimed, adding: “Don’t fall into the fake narrative that M.K. Stalin is peddling everyday.” Published – April 06, 2026 11:26 pm IST Share this: Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Click to share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email More Click to print (Opens in new window) Print Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window) Pocket Click to share on Mastodon (Opens in new window) Mastodon Click to share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window) Nextdoor Click to share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky Like this:Like Loading...
