The team from Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC) received accolades for securing the first place in India for research at its Multi-disciplinary Research Unit (MRU). The recognition came from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, for which Team SVMC, comprising Additional Director of Medical Education (ADME) and SVMC principal Dr. G. Ravi Prabhu, professor of paediatrics Dr. A.S. Kireeti and public relations officer Veera Kiran, were felicitated at the International Women’s Day celebrations observed at NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), in Vijayawada on Wednesday. Dr. Ravi Prabhu spoke on women’s empowerment, leadership and breaking barriers at the meet.
