Maximum temperatures crossed the 40°C mark at three locations in Telangana on Friday (March 13, 2026) indicating the intensifying heat across the State. According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), the highest maximum temperature recorded on March 13 was 40.4°C in Mortad of Nizamabad district. This was followed by 40.2°C in Kannepalli (Mancherial) and 40.1°C in Bejjur (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad). Temperatures in the remaining 30 districts ranged between 37°C and 40°C. Beerpur in Jagtial district recorded 39.9°C, followed by 39.8°C in Jainad (Adilabad), Mulugu and Rudrangi (Rajanna Sircilla). Neredugommu in Nalgonda recorded 39.7°C, while Khanapur in Nirmal recorded 39.6°C. In the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) region, Medchal in Medchal Malkajgiri district recorded a maximum temperature of 38.8°C, while Himayatnagar in Hyderabad recorded 38.2°C.
