A court in Sullia has directed a resident of Sullia to do traffic awareness and traffic control duty for 15 days, and imposed a penalty of ₹ 3,000, on finding him guilty of three traffic violations under Indian Motor Vehicle Act. He was disqualified from holding driving licence for three months.

The Senior Civil Judge and JMFC, Sullia, B. Mohan Babu, on March 12, convicted Sullia resident G. Rakshith for offences under Sections 194 (C) (violation of safety measures for motorycle drivers and pillion riders), 184 (reckless driving behaviour) and 119 (disobeying traffic signals) read with Section 177 of IMV Act. The Sullia police had filed a chargesheet against Rakshith in connection with three separate cases booked against him on February 24.
