Static Surveillance Team seizes ₹10 lakh cash from bus passenger in Pudukottai

A Static Surveillance Team seized ₹10 lakh cash which was being carried without any valid documents by a bus passenger in Pudukottai on Tuesday. 

The team was conducting vehicle checks at Andakulam division road in Pudukottai Assembly constituency in the evening when the seizure was made. 

The team, while conducting checks in a government bus proceeding to Thanjavur from Madurai, found ₹10 lakh cash being carried without any valid documents by a passenger identified as M. Raja and confiscated the amount. The seized cash was handed over to the Returning Officer of the Pudukottai Assembly constituency for further action, said police sources.
