The Karnataka State Bodybuilding Association and the Dharwad District Bodybuilding Association will jointly organise a state level bodybuilding competition “Mr. Karnataka Classic 2026” here on February 12. Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, president of Dharwad District Bodybuilding Association Saleem Gour said the event would be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Nehru Stadium, and Housing Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan, MLA Prasad Abbayya would be chief guests. Around 200 people are expected to participate in the event. The winner of the Mr. Karnataka Classic 2026 title will receive a cash prize of ₹30,000, while the first and second runners-up will be awarded ₹15,000 and ₹10,000 respectively. The Best Poser award carries a cash prize of ₹5,000. He said that competitions would be conducted across eight weight categories and winners would get cash prizes along with certificates. Event organisers Mohammad Jafar Shahbadi, Syed Nadeem Sheik and Aneej Ahmed Dalal were present.
