The Hindu Bureau The State Goods and Services Tax Department (GST) has detected turnover suppression of ₹80.14 crore in raids conducted in catering service establishments across the State. The inspections, named ‘Operation Crookshanks,’ were carried out on January 6 by the intelligence and enforcement wings of the department. The officers also unearthed tax evasion to the tune of ₹4.45 crore. The inspections were carried out simultaneously in the establishments and the residences of the proprietors.
