Minister for Industries and Commerce TG Bharath Gupta has said the State government is committed to providing jobs to the youth and asked the youth to hone their skills to meet the demand of the industry.

Mr. Bharath Gupta inaugurated the Mega Job Mela held at the Vocational Junior College in the city on Monday (March 30). Speaking on the occasion, he said 17 companies participating in the mela are offering 1,125 jobs. Asking the youngsters to utilise the mela, Mr. Bharath Gupta said these kind of melas will be held every three months.

He said the State government is committed to providing 20 lakh jobs and they are making all efforts to fulfill the promise under the guidance of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister for IT and HRD Nara Lokesh. Mr Bharath Gupta said several companies are coming forward to invest at the Orvakal industrial hub and Jai Raj Ispat Limited is investing another ₹6,000 crore in the State.

Apart from bringing investments to provide job opportunities to the youth, the State government is also filling vacancies in government departments, Mr. Bharath Gupta said and urged the youth to upgrade their skills to get jobs.
