Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was bringing in reforms in the Revenue department and distributing new pattadar passbooks with the State emblem. The Chief Minister is aiming to make Andhra Pradesh a State free of revenue related issues, she added.

Ms. Shabari distributed the new pattadar passbooks with the State emblem to beneficiaries in Timmapur village of Midtur mandal on Thursday.

Speaking on occasion, the MP said that the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government had derailed the revenue system in the name of land resurvey. “The previous government had wasted public money by painting pictures of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy even on boundary stones,” she said, and added that pattadar passbooks were being distributed to farmers in the villages where resurvey had been completed.

Ms. Shabari said that 51,017 passbooks would be distributed in Nandyal district. The passbooks will also have a QR code and advanced technology had been used in printing the passbooks. “Farmers can scan the QR code and get the land details. If they notice any wrong entries in the passbook, they can approach the officials concerned immediately. Necessary changes will be done free of cost,” she said.

She added that the distribution of passbooks at the doorstep of farmers showed the pro-farmer approach of the NDA government.
