Stage set for inauguration of Sadarmat barrage: arrangements reviewed for CM’s scheduled visit to Nirmal district on January 16

Elaborate arrangements are being made for Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s visit to Nirmal district on Friday (January 16).

The Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the Sadarmat barrage built across Godavari river at Ponkal village and address a public meeting in the district headquarters town of Nirmal on Friday.

Excise and Prohibition Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, who is the district in-charge Minister, inspected the Sadarmat barrage site on Wednesday.

He reviewed the arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit with the district officials at the site.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the long-cherished dream of farmers in the district will be fulfilled when the Chief Minister will inaugurate the Sadarmat barrage on January 16.

Sadarmat barrage will prove to be a lifeline for farmers in the district, he noted.

He instructed the district officials to make elaborate arrangements to organise the Sadarmat barrage inaugural ceremony on a grand scale.
