A Static Surveillance Team (SST) at Tiruppattur Assembly Constituency in Sivaganga on Saturday night during a vehicle inspection at S.S. Kottai police check post seized gold bars worth ₹4.52 crores. The team which was involved in vehicle inspection at the police check post, while checking a vehicle, found gold bars being transported without valid documents. The gold bars which was seized from Karthikeyan of Madurai district were deposited in the government treasury, sources said.
