SRM School of Law, a part of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), launched a Master’s programme in Public Policy on Thursday (January 8, 2026). The course has an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates law, economics, and social sciences to address the complexities of governance. Inaugurating the course, Alok Prasanna, co-founder, Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, highlighted the critical need for formal public policy education and stated that the programme was designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical governance, opening up opportunities for students in government, international organisations, and think tanks. Vinay Kumar A., Pro-Vice Chancellor, SRMIST; K.S. Lakshmi, Director of Admissions; Sree Sudha, Dean, SRM School of Law; and Sumana Vedanth, Associate Professor, were present.
