Flagging off a rally here on Monday, commemorating the ‘Women’s Week’, he recalled the focus laid on women’s safety with the conduct of ‘Palle Nidra’, awareness drives in schools and colleges. The rally started at Koti Reddy circle and culminated at Seven Roads junction, where the participants formed a human chain. He invited the girl students to participate in the elocution, essay writing, painting, and drawing competitions to be conducted at the District Police Office on March 08 (Women’s Day Mr. Shelke urged the women and girls to dial 112 to get immediate support and redressal from any form of harassment. Additional Superintendents K. Prakash Babu (Admin), B. Ramanaiah (Armed Reserve), Deputy Superintendents A. Venkateswarlu (Kadapa), E. Balaswamy Reddy (Women’s PS) and P. Nageswara Rao (Armed Reserve) were also present.
