Soumen Sen, Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya, will be the new Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. The Union government issued the order appointing him as the new Chief Justice on Thursday. Nithin Jamdar, the present Chief Justice of Kerala, will retire on January 9. Mr. Sen, enrolled as an advocate in January 1991. He practised as an advocate in the High Court at Calcutta for 20 years. He was elevated as a Judge of the Calcutta High Court in April 2011 and as Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya on September 26, 2025.
