A social harmony Iftar meet was held on Monday at Thanal Karunai Illam near Vengalur in the district. The home provides medical, mental health and livelihood support for 50 orphaned elderly women. The meet was held with these elders. The event sought to promote communal harmony with people from Hindu, Muslim and Christian faiths sharing a platform to support destitute women.
