Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman B.R. Naidu has taken serious exception to the alleged sleaze video making rounds on the social media and warns of serious action against those spreading misinformation campaign against him.

At a media conference here on Sunday, he termed that the video contained nothing objectionable, but his detractors were drawing unnecessary inferences from it.

The clarification to the press was necessitated by the charges made by Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, YSRCP Tirupati district president and former TTD Chairman, on the video.

Mr. Reddy had also demanded the resignation of Mr. B.R. Naidu stating that never in the 94-year-old history of the TTD that a “tainted” person had headed the temple trust board.

Reacting strongly, the Chairman brushed aside the allegation and stated that the woman in the video was their family friend for 30 years and they had been to Shirdi on a pilgrimage.

“The photos pertaining to the trip were misused along with morphed images in the video in circulation,” he claimed, maintaining that he would take necessary action on those spreading smear campaign against him.

Recalling that Mr. Karunakar Reddy had been demanding his resignation ever since his takeover, Mr. B.R. Naidu dismissed as “uncivilised” his attempts to tarnish his image through such acts.
