A group of six women allegedly got away with cash and gold ornaments from an apartment complex in Yeshwanthpur on Saturday. The incident occurred at the Golden Apartment complex. According to police, the women arrived at the apartment posing as vendors selling artificial jewellery. The security guard initially denied them access. However, while four of the women engaged the guard in conversation and diverted his attention, two others allegedly slipped inside unnoticed. The duo reportedly entered a house located near the security room on the ground floor and made away with approximately ₹40,000 in cash and gold ornaments. The accused fled the scene soon after the theft. The entire act was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the apartment complex. Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused based on CCTV camera footage. Officials have urged residents and security personnel to remain vigilant about unknown visitors.
