At least six passengers were injured, one of them seriously, when a TGSRTC bus fell off a bridge into the dry bed of a stream at Shyampur village in the tribal heartland of Utnoor mandal of Adilabad district on Monday (February 23, 2026) morning.

The accident occurred when the driver of the Asifabad-bound TGSRTC bus lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a narrow bridge, without a protection wall, near Shyampur around 8 a.m.

Around six occupants of the public transport vehicle as well as the bus conductor suffered multiple injuries in the impact of the accident.

The injured persons were rushed to the government hospital in Utnoor.

Around 25 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident.
