A six-month-old boy died in Rajendranagar allegedly after being administered expired medication at a private hospital, prompting police to register a criminal case against the doctor in charge. The deceased was identified as P. Ramu, the third child of his parents and their only son after two daughters. According to the family, the child had been running a fever for two days and was taken to Crayons Hospital located in Sun City, Bandlaguda Jagir, for treatment on Saturday. He later died at the facility. Following a complaint by the parents, the Rajendranagar police booked a case against Dr. M. Abhishek, owner and in-charge of the hospital. Preliminary enquiry revealed that an injection allegedly administered to the infant had expired on January 19, 2026. Rajendranagar Inspector M. Muthu Yadav said police met the district medical officer as part of the investigation and verified initial details. Further investigation is underway.
