BALACHANDAR The CB-CID police and a judge conducted an inquiry at the Manamadurai police station regarding the death of a Scheduled Caste youth in police custody. A committee of officials, formed to protect CCTV footage, also carried out an inspection. On the night of March 5, in Krishnarajapuram area of Manamadurai, Sivaganga district, police arrested two individuals—R. Akash Delison, 26, from the same locality, and Guna, 23,— on charges of hacking two men. During the incident, Akash Delison suffered a fracture in his leg. Police stated that the leg was broken when he jumped from the Melappasalai bridge while attempting to escape.
