While the voter mapping under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) remains incomplete across Karnataka, ‘progeny’ mapping has crossed 100% in at least 19 districts, with Kodagu and Udupi reporting over 120%, according to official data as of April 1.

Progeny refers to younger voters added and linked to existing electors, with more voters being mapped than initially estimated in these districts. Overall, 70.84% of eligible electors with cut off age (18 years or older) have been covered so far, while Bengaluru Urban stands at 62.67% in the same category. Meanwhile, across the State, 82.75% of electors are mapped, including progeny.
