Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple Executive Officer J. Venkata Rao chaired a review meeting with the engineering officials on Tuesday (February 10, 2026) to take stock of the pilgrim amenity works being undertaken ahead of the annual Chandanotsavam festival, which is scheduled to be held on April 20. The annual festival, which draws thousands of devotees from North Andhra, apart from other places in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and other parts of the country, is considered important as it is only on Chandanotsavam Day that the deity can be seen in His original form. The EO inspected the quality and progress of the construction works in the vicinity of the temple. He directed the engineering officials not to compromise on the quality of works under any circumstances, and to ensure that devotees were not subjected to any inconvenience during the annual festival by completing the ongoing works ahead of the festival. He asked the officials to take up works on construction of temporary ‘Foot-Over-Bridge’ to regulate the massive turnout of devotees. The EO called for greater coordination among the engineering officials. Executive Engineer B. Rambabu, DE Hari, AEs Ravi Raju and Sanyasi Rao were among those who participated in the review meeting.
