Siddhartha Academy celebrates annual day

Director, Defence Research Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad, Ankathi Raju on Thursday urged students to strive for excellence and contribute meaningfully to society.

He was speaking at the second annual day function of the Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University), in Vijayawada. The institution has achieved 49 years of excellence in higher education under the Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education (SAGTE).

Students enthralled the audience with colourful cultural programmes. This was followed by presentation of academic, memorial, literary, and cultural prizes. Vice-Chancellor P. Venkateswara Rao presented the annual report highlighting the University’s achievements and progress.

Senior Analytics Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Hyderabad, Sai Srinivas Sriparasa was also one of the guests on the occasion. The programme was attended by SAGTE president of the institution M. Rajayya, secretary P. Lakshmana Rao and treasurer S. Venkateswara Rao.

The deemed university’s Pro Vice-Chancellor A. V. Ratnaprasad and Registrar M. Ravichand along with Deans and heads of all departments were also present.
