The case was filed under the NDPS Act and the Karnataka Prisons Act, 2022. “Four people have been arrested in the case. Khalandar is the kingpin, and the three others are his associates. The police conducted the investigation based on CCTV footage,” the SP said. Further, Mr. Nikhil stated that those who supply banned items to prison inmates would also be imprisoned. “Tunga Nagara Police and the Karnataka State Industrial Security Force staff posted at the prison have done a commendable job in cracking the case,” he added.
