Seven persons were arrested by Chandanagar police for allegedly cheating and illegally encroaching government land, following a probe into large-scale forgery to acquire land earmarked for public use. The accused have been identified as Neruti Niranjan, N. Venu Kumar, M. Kranthi Kumar, Raju Ravi Selvaraj, Syed Yousuf, Md Azher Ali and Madham Suman.
