Indian Institute of Educational Theatre (IIET), in association with The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and Khel Tamasha, is presenting an engaging masterclass titled ‘Rasas & Bhavas – The Language of Emotions’ as part of the ‘People’s United Dialogues – Masterclass Series’.

The session will be conducted by renowned Kathakali actor and teacher Prasobh Kalamandalam, who brings deep expertise in Indian classical performance traditions. The masterclass will explore the profound concepts of ‘rasa’ and ‘bhava’, central to Indian aesthetics, focusing on embodied expression and the transformation of emotion into artistic experience, according to IIET.

The programme will be held on April 1, from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. at the IIET premises, Hardwicke School campus, JLB Road here.

“The program is part of an ongoing initiative to foster dialogue, creativity, and cultural exchange through the performing arts. The event is presented by Rajneesh Bisht, project director of People’s United Dialogues,” a press release said.

The masterclass promises to be a unique opportunity to engage with the rich heritage of Indian aesthetics and deepen one’s understanding of the language of emotions, the note added.
