Three of the most talked-about films on the global awards circuit — Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, Oliver Laxe’s Sirat and Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet — are set to anchor the Red Lorry Film Festival’s Global Awards Showcase when the festival returns to Mumbai next year.

Now in its third edition, the Red Lorry Film Festival (RLFF) will take place from March 13 to 15, 2026, and will once again spotlight contemporary international cinema that has found recognition across major awards platforms. This year’s lineup places particular emphasis on films that have featured prominently at the Academy Awards and the BAFTAs.

Leading the showcase is Sentimental Value, directed by Joachim Trier and starring Renate Reinsve, Elle Fanning and Stellan Skarsgård. The film has emerged as one of Europe’s most widely recognised titles of the year, securing nominations across multiple international awards bodies and positioning itself as a major contender during the current awards season.

Joining it are Sirat and Hamnet, both of which have also earned nominations at the Oscars and BAFTAs in top categories, including Best Picture and Best International Feature.

Beyond these headline titles, the festival’s programme includes a strong slate of films associated with France’s César Awards. Titles such as Case 137, The Richest Woman in the World, Leave One Day, Colours of Time, Nino and Sentimental Value feature as part of RLFF’s selection.

Spanish cinema is similarly well represented through Goya Award-linked films including The Portuguese House and Sirat. The lineup also extends to several films that were shortlisted or submitted by their countries for Academy Award consideration, such as Late Shift (Switzerland), I’m Not Everything I Want to Be (Czech Republic), Reedland (Netherlands), Sound of Falling (Germany), No Other Choice (South Korea) and The Love That Remains (Iceland).

Festival passes will be available via BookMyShow.
