RAJESH Three-day seminar on ‘Crime against women and children’ by Department of Social Welfare commenced at Annammal College of Education here on Tuesday. Inaugurating the seminar, District Collector K. Elambahavath said the seminar was being organised for creating awareness among the government officials on preventing crime against women and the children, the legal remedies available, the action to be taken by the officials concerned after a crime against women or the children, the legal consequences of dereliction of duty etc. Each salient feature of this theme would be explained in detail during the seminar.
