A private security agency was booked for allegedly operating without a valid licence during a joint raid conducted by the Intelligence Department and Kacheguda police in Tilak Nagar on Saturday.

The agency, identified as Krish Security Force (Fire Fighting Vigilance), was found functioning without a valid licence under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act (PSARA), 2005.

According to a statement from the Telangana Police, the raid was carried out following inputs that several agencies in the State were operating in violation of statutory provisions by engaging security guards and supervisors without obtaining the mandatory PSARA licence.

During the inspection at the agency’s office in Tilak Nagar, authorities confirmed that it did not possess a valid licence issued by the State controlling authority.

A case has been registered against the owner under relevant provisions of the BNS and Section 20 of the PSAR Act, 2005. Officials said such violations are punishable with imprisonment of up to one year, a fine of up to ₹25,000, or both. Authorities have directed all private security agencies operating without valid licences to obtain approval through the official PSARA portal at the earliest.

They also warned that strict legal action will be taken against directors, proprietors and partners of agencies that fail to comply with the provisions of the Act.
