The Returning Officers conducted the second randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs on Monday. Using the Election Commission of India’s EMS (EVM Management System), the machines were randomly assigned to their respective polling stations

The second randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly General Election was successfully conducted. The process covered the constituencies of Paramakudi (SC), Thiruvadanai, Ramanathapuram, and Mudukulathur to ensure the impartial allocation of voting machines.

The process was done through EVM management system, by the Returning Officer of the four constituencies in the presence of the contesting candidates/their representatives and General Observers, as per storage and security protocol prescribed by the Election Commission of India.
