The second phase of randomisation for the deployment of polling officials ahead of the Assembly elections has been completed in Kozhikode district. In the second phase, 13,640 officials were assigned their duties as presiding officers and polling officers in 13 constituencies. They would be deployed in 2,837 polling stations. In the first phase of randomisation, there were 26,074 officials. The third phase would be held on April 7. The process was completed under the supervision of two election observers appointed by the Election Commission of India. District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh led the process. The election authorities said the appointment order, following the completion of randomisation procedures, would be available for download from the shared software. Training for the selected officials would be held from April 1 to April 4 in Kozhikode, they said.
