SDPI, MJK, MPP get one seat each in DMK-led alliance

The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) led by V.M.S. Mohammed Mubarak, Manithaneya Jananayaga Katchi (MJK) led by Thamimun Ansari and Mukkulathor Puli Padai (MPP) led by actor Karunas have been allocated one seat each as part of the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance for the ensuing Assembly elections.

Leaders of these parties held meetings with the DMK delegation on Wednesday at Anna Arivalayam, the party’s headquarters in Chennai. All these parties are set to contest on the DMK’s ‘Rising Sun’ symbol, and their respective seats will be finalised on Thursday.
