The executive council of the Satavahana University has decided to allot 15 guntas of land for construction of a permanent police station in Karimnagar. A resolution to this effect was passed at the 84th executive council meeting of the Satavahana University held on December 24, 2025, a press release said. Land measuring 15 guntas adjacent to the university west gate on the Malkapur junction-Chintakunta road has been allotted for this purpose. The decision has been taken following a request made by the police department to allot land for construction of a permanent building for the Kothapalli police station for better maintenance of law and order and improve services.
