Sanya Malhotra and Aditya Rawal begin shooting for ‘Sundar Poonam’

Sanya Malhotra and Aditya Rawal have started shooting for their upcoming romantic-thriller, Sundar Poonam.

The film is helmed by Bhakshak director (2023) Pulkit and is produced under Tips Films and Abundantia Entertainment banners by Kumar Taurani and Vikram Malhotra. It is written by Jyotsana Nath along with Pulkit.

Sanya shared a bunch of photos on social media as she announced the news. She wrote in caption, “#SundarPoonam. It begins.”

A first look of the film was unveiled recently by Prime Video during its 2026 content slate announcement. It tells the story of a newly wed couple that goes missing on their honeymoon to Kashmir.

Sanya was last seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. She will also be seen next in Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar, headlined by Bobby Deol. The film will be released in theatres on May 22. It was premiered last year at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
