Samsung, global consumer electronics brand, on Thursday said it certified 2,000 students in Bengaluru under its flagship Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) programme, as part of the company’s efforts to build a future-ready talent pool in Karnataka.

Under the initiative, students received industry-aligned, hands-on training in emerging technologies, with 1,100 students certified in Artificial Intelligence and 900 students in Coding & Programming. The programme focused on strengthening employability by equipping learners with practical, job-relevant digital skills aligned with evolving industry requirements, said Samsung.

“Samsung Innovation Campus is designed to bridge the gap between education and employability by delivering rigorous, hands-on training in future technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Coding & Programming,’’ said S.P. Chun, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia.

Speaking on the occasion, Santosh S. Lad, Minister for Labour and Employment, said initiatives such this play a vital role in aligning academic learning with industry expectations. “The certification of 2,000 students in Bengaluru reflects strong collaboration between industry and institutions, reinforcing Karnataka’s position as a leading hub for innovation and talent development,” Mr. Lad further said.

The certification ceremony was held at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru.
