BJP State president P. V. N. Madhav on Sunday said any form of sacrilege at the holy shrine of Tirumala would not be tolerated and flayed the erstwhile YSRCP regime for playing with the sentiments of Hindu devotees.

Addressing party cadres at a meeting here, he said everyone involved in the alleged scam would be dealt with in accordance with the law, but those who hurt the sentiments of devotees would have to pay a heavy price.

“BJP will always stand by Hindus and work for the protection of temples and temple culture,” he assured.

Jammalamadugu MLA and Government Whip C. Adinarayana Reddy expressed hope that the BJP would win the confidence of the people and gain strength in the coming days.

Tirupati district BJP president Samanchi Srinivas, who completed one year in office, explained the steps taken to popularise various Central government schemes among the public.

BJP State general secretary Sannareddy Dayakar Reddy, State secretary Kola Anand, vice-president Ashok Raju, SC Morcha State president Suresh Panathula, Yuva Morcha State president Sunil Reddy, Mahila Morcha president Nishidha Raju and district general secretary Naresh Babu were present.
