The kambams, planted before the Periya Mariamman, Chinna Mariamman and Vaikkal Mariamman temples, were taken out around 3 p.m. and brought to Manikoondu. From there, the procession moved through key thoroughfares including Eswaran Kovil Street, Kamaraj Street, Meenatchi Sundaranar Road, the GH Roundabout, Mettur Road, Swastik Roundabout, Sakthi Road, Ellai Mariamman Kovil, Nethaji Road, Periyar Street, Marapalam, Mandapam Street, Cutchery Street, R.K.V.
