Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman A. Ravi Naidu on Monday visited international powerlifting athlete Bollineni Chandrika, who is currently admitted to a private hospital in the city for kidney infection. He wished her a speedy recovery. Praising Ms. Chandrika for having brought laurels to the State, Mr. Ravi Naidu said her courage and determination serve as an inspiration to the youth. He extended a financial aid of ₹1 lakh to help her with her medical treatment. Mr. Ravi Naidu said the State government’s policy is to identify talented athletes and encourage them by providing all necessary support. There will not be shortage of assistance of any kind for their welfare, he added.
