Residents of the Weavers’ Colony near Bhavanisagar staged a road blockade on Monday (April 13, 2026), demanding regular supply of drinking water. More than 100 families in the locality are facing acute water scarcity for the past few days. The residents alleged that, despite bringing the issue to the notice of the authorities, no concrete action was taken. With the onset of summer, the shortage has intensified, forcing people to struggle to meet their daily water needs.
