Revenue officials on Saturday conducted special drives on sweet stalls and hotels at various places in Krishna district on Saturday and seized 41 domestic gas cylinders. Multiple teams headed by Deputy Tahsildars of Gudivada, Penamaluru, Machilipatnam, Gannavaram and Movva conducted searches in hotels and other establishments in Kanuru and Poranki areas and seized the cylinders, said Joint Collector M. Krishna District Collector D.K. Balaji, who reviewed the LPG cylinders’ supply position with the relevant officials, warned of stern action against those who sell cooking gas cylinders at high prices or hoard the cylinders illegally. NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha directed the Civil Supplies and Revenue Department officials to take measures to ensure smooth supply of LPG cylinders. “The RDOs, MROs and the District Supplies and Assistant Supplies officers were instructed to monitor the situation from time to time,” Mr. Lakshmisha said.
