Fire and Rescue Services personnel conducting a drill at Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital on Saturday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The Fire and Rescue Services personnel, led by District Fire Officer, Bhanupriya, organised mock rescue drill at Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital in Palayamkottai on Saturday to demonstrate their skills and training the TVMCH doctors and the nurses in evacuating the patients undergoing treatment in the hospital during emergency particularly during fire accidents. Besides demonstrating the firefighting techniques with fire extinguishers, the fire and rescue services personnel showcased their skills in rescuing the patients from the hospital’s ground floor and the first or second floors in case of emergency, particularly during fire accidents. A total of 60 firefighters participated in the drill.
