Ongoing redevelopment work at the Kumbakonam railway station is expected to be completed before the ‘Mahamagam’ festival in 2028. Vipin Kumar, Additional General Manager, Southern Railway, who paid a visit to the Kumbakonam railway station on Thursday, reviewed the work being implemented at an estimated cost of ₹99.84 crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS).
