Removal of names from Manjolai Estate in final voter list condemned

Save the Nation has condemned the removal of the names of 650 people from Manjolai Estate area under the Ambasamudram Assembly constituency in Tirunelveli district. The names did not feature in the final voter list released after the Special Intensive Revision process.

In a press release, its Convener C. J. Rajan said this was not only shocking but also against the electoral process. Names of people who have been living at Manjolai Estate for the last four generations have been removed from the final list. Subsequently, all of them had applied to be included by submitting Form-6.
